Québec is closer than you think
and further from the gospel than you know.

HOUSING & TRAINING BASE PROJECT
Housing costs in Canada—particularly in Québec—have risen to unsustainable levels, creating significant barriers for missionaries, ministry teams, and new workers seeking to live and serve effectively. To address this challenge, we are seeking to purchase property just across the Québec border in northern New York State to establish a missionary training and housing center to provide:
A launchpad for cross-cultural ministry into Quebec
A more affordable option for housing short-term teams, interns, and new missionaries
A training space to mentor, disciple, and prepare missionaries before entering the field
On-site residential housing for a few missionary families or long-term staff
Take a look at the property photos and architectural renderings below for a glimpse into what we're aiming to build:
QUÉBEC CROSS-BORDER BUILDING PROJECT
Québec is one of the least evangelized regions in North America — less than 1% identify as evangelical — and a housing crisis is keeping missionaries from getting there. Montreal's vacancy rate hit 1.5% in 2024, Premier Legault called it a "national emergency," and average family rents now top C$3,000/month (source: CBC News). Landlords routinely reject missionary families without Canadian credit history. We've already lost two workers this way. That's why we're building the Québec Cross-Border Mission Base — a property in northern New York, minutes from the border. Missionary families live affordably on the U.S. side while ministering daily in Montreal, a city with 300,000 university students and surging immigrant communities hungry for the gospel. The base will also train and launch new church planting teams — because Québec can't wait. Our ultimate desire is to see missionaries living among the people they're called to reach. This base is the next best way — removing obstacles so the gospel isn't delayed in one of North America's most spiritually needy regions. Your gift toward our $600,000 AGWM project goal funds presence, stability, and a permanent place from which to reach La Belle Province of Québec. The gospel doesn't stop for a housing crisis — and neither will we! Your financial partnership makes this possible — and Québec reachable. Please give through: [email protected] by clicking the button below. This will direct your gift to N. Atlantic & Canada, Acct.# 600001. Please select the Cross-Border Project #9575 from the Advanced Options dropdown.
